Pus Renfield – Keyboards

Pus Renfield (aka Jeff Carbonucci) began playing piano at the age of three. His family came from a long line of circus performers, and he grew up on the road, traveling the country with his trapeze artist mother and father as they moved from one traveling circus to another. The circus put together a scholarship to send the boy to Juilliard, where he found himself ostracized and a virtual outsider, despite his musical gifts. The punk scene beckoned, and Jeff answered, disappearing from Juilliard in his second year. Unbeknownst to his parents and benefactors, he had been slipping into the city’s East Village where he soon found himself firmly ensconced in the counterculture atmosphere.
